Lone Cypress miniature | Barbara Haviland - Blog

This is a bald cypress in the summer time. They are really very pretty to me. The wood is magnificent. It doesn't rot. The painting measures 5"x3" and on a canvas panel.

Larry's Finnish Sauna | Barbara Haviland - Blog

This painting was done from a friends camp and with his permission to use the photo. I liked how the sun was streaming thru the trees. I think it would be a lovely place for a retreat.

This oil painting is done from some of my photos. I believe near Lake Charles, La. Don't quote me on that. I have tons of reference shots of the bayou. I love the colors in this one. It is available for purchase. Update, this painting won 1st place in the professional division in our art show. It was also picked to be in the Artist of Texas show in Dallas in November. Wow, and I had fun painting it too.
