Red Poppies were done in a class I had. I was showing my student how to paint a still life of flowers. I did the background in blues and purples. The vase ended up being a very dark. After the poppies were done I embellished them with gold. I hope you can see that.
This floral still has such a lovely composition, with bright flowers sprinkled in a shimmery, reflective vase. Yellows, greens, oranges and blues make this a wonderful painting that goes with both contemporary and traditional décor.
