Alligator in oils | Barbara Haviland - Blog

Alligator in oils | Barbara Haviland - Blog

I love alligators.   I found this one at Gator Country and he made a lovely oil painting.  I did the painting in oils and on a canvas panel.  The canvas panel that I make is a luan panel and I glue my canvas on the hard wood surface. I love this surface to paint on. The painting is available here on my web site under Animals.  Please comment and let me know if you think he looks real... I think he does.

I am posting the Alligator painting today because I like it and today is the day for Gator Country to come to the Texas Artists Museum to see the kids.  They should learn lots of info on the gators of Southeast Texas. Barbara

This is one orange pot sitting on an adobe green window. I did this painting this week and it has orange and red flowers growing up the wall. A lovely window with a green shudder frames the orange pot.  This building has a texture to it.  It is available for purchase. It comes signed by me and with a COA  The painting measures 14"x11" and is done in oils.
