This is  some cypress trees I painted on a piece of stained wood that my husband made for me.  It has an oval  routed out and that is where I painted the bayou 

This is the second piece to match my other bayou painting. The painting is in the routed out oval of the wood. It is one  piece of wood and the  wood has been stained. They look good   side by side.  The wood frame was made from Pecan wood after a tree fell from a Hurricane.

This was painted several years ago when we went to Montana. I would love to live there.  It is so beautiful. Woke up  one morning to find   these turkey's in the yard.. The painting measures 24"x18" and is done in oils on a Stretched canvas.

Diptych Bayous, oil paintings by Barbara Haviland

   Diptych Bayous are two  12"x 10" paintings  and   framed as you see.  The paintings are 12x10 each and with the frames it is larger.

There are cypress trees in both of them and the scene  goes from one to the other.  I used soft peach tones of paint
