#111 Pilgrim's Barn is  our latest study painting in oils and I am really learning how to put the masses down and go from there. 

I love this technique and  will continue to use it more.  My canvas panels are well made and light weight.  My husband uses louan and we paint the back and adhere canvas to the front and sides.

                                                     I love the colors used, Purples, browns, greens,and yellows. and a little red +  white.  9"x12" canvas panel

Tree Hugger was painted from a photo I got permission from. The painting is done in oils and is available. I have never seen a gator in a tree basking and I have seen lots of them. Signed but unframed

Kingfisher, bird in oils Barbara Haviland

 This little Kingfisher was just flirting with us painters and I decided to try to paint him.  I took his photo in case he flew off. Good thing because I had to finish the painting in the studio...   He is done in oils on a 8"x6" canvas panel.  I  like him.

I painted this at Shangri-La in Orange, Texas.  We were off the pathway and had to    watch for other critters.    This Egret was so twisted and preening his feathers.  Look closely for where his beak is.
