This painting was done from a Plein air painting I did at Adam's  Bayou in Orange County.  I love the peaceful serene tranquility of the bayou.

The Lorrain Bridge in Louisiana was so very pretty. I took the photo last summer and just found it again. I had to paint it. The greens,the hi-lights on the bridge all were spectacular to me.  It was so peaceful there.  I hope you like the painting

Central Fire Station by Barbara Haviland

 This large oil painting was done showing what the old Central Fire Station in Lake Charles, La looked like many years ago.  I researched the station and found several very old photos. From the photos, this is my version of the Central Fire Station.

The painting is on view right now at Iberia Bank on Nelson Road in Lake Charles..
