I’m excited to share my newest oil painting, "Daffodil Dance in Deep Hues." This piece captures a single yellow daffodil set against a rich, deep blue background. I focused on the contrast between the bright petals and the darker backdrop to bring the flower into sharp relief, while the lively brushstrokes in the green leaves and stems add a sense of movement around it. The painting carries a slightly abstract, expressive quality that allows the texture and color to take center stage. This work grew out of a recent class where we explored painting daffodils, and I enjoyed translating that fresh inspiration into a vibrant, dynamic composition. measures 6"x6"
