Wedding Sunset of Abby and Russell, landscape Barbara Haviland

#Sunset, #wedding, #knife work, #thick juicy paint, #BarbaraHaviland.net

I am excited to unveil my latest artwork, "Wedding Sunset," an 11x14 oil painting on canvas. This piece captures the breathtaking drama of a sunset unfurling in vivid waves of orange, yellow, and purple across the sky. A stark silhouette of a barren tree and a wooden structure, suggestive of a farmhouse or barn, stand in the foreground, creating a striking contrast against the vibrant backdrop. The texture and depth achieved through dynamic brushstrokes bring this sunset scene to life, infusing it with movement and emotion. Inspired by Abby and Russell's wedding, this painting holds a special place in my heart as it reflects a moment of beautiful inspiration during a cherished occasion. I hope "Wedding Sunset" resonates with you and brings a touch of its vibrant intensity into your space. They are Still together!!!

Today is my Mom's Heavenly Birthday!.. I am missing you very much BUT, I will see you again.

Big Yucca Plant, oil painting, Barbara Haviland

#yucca #Cacti,# landscape, #oilpainting,#canvasPanel, #BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com

I love the beauty of the desert, such colors. This big Yucca Plant was towering above and just shouted to be painted.

I did this piece on a 16"x12" canvas panel and it is signed. My husband makes my panels out of  Masonite  and we use adhesive to wrap the canvas around to the backside.  I have been using this for over 30 years with no problem.  I like the sturdiness of these panels.

Lady In Red Dress Flapper, Watercolor by Barbara Haviland

#lady,#flapper,#watercolor,#original, #6x4,#Card, #BarbaraHaviland.net

The artwork is a watercolor painting of a woman in a red dress. She is wearing a vibrant red hat adorned with blue feathers and has a large, stylized blue flower in her hand. The figure is depicted in an elegant pose, with a focus on the flowing design of the dress and the vivid contrast between the red and blue hues. The style is fluid and expressive, emphasizing the whimsical and artistic nature of the subject. She measures 6"x4"  To me, she looks like a Red Flapper from the Roaring 20's
