Building on CR1010 was an abandoned building that is no longer there. I took several photos and decided to paint this.
I am glad I did. We met the man that lived there and he is going to build a a new house. The painting is on a 20x16 Gallery Wrap Stretched

This Magnolia and Sand Dollar is done in watercolors. The paper is 300lb and it is signed and ready to be matted and framed. The magnolia I used was turning brown. I decided to use that color and paint the flower. Everywhere you touch the magnolia, it turns brown.
When I first started painting my magnolias always turned brown before I finished painting them. I paint faster now. The sand dollar was found somewhere in Florida by my daughter.

I finally got to my Studio to paint.. Yea I painted this background with dark colors of Blues,purples,reds and some bright yellows and some oranges. I wanted to have a flower that went with the background and the Bird of Paradise just hit the spot.
