I did this Cypress Trees as a class in Lake Charles. We had such fun and everyone did a great painting.  

This is done on a 16 x 12 Canvas Linen paper and you can frame yourself.

Boat Repairs is done in oils and from photos of boats in need of repair. This is a painting that I have completely re-worked. I do like this one much better.  It measures 16 x 12 and needs a frame. It was originally a study.

I found these trucks on Rt 66 on our way to Colorado.  I thought they would make a great painting and they did.  The painting measures 16"x 20" and is framed as you see it. The frame is quite heavy.   They won a blue ribbon in an art show at Gallery By the Lake recently.

Abstract White Lilies are done in oils and measure 12"x 16". They have a very brightly colored background and I put white lilies on while the background was still wet. I love how these came out.

I have classes in Oils  

  Schedule of Classes

          Tuesday   9-3  and  Tuesday   5:30--8: 30 pm

   Wednesday 9-12 noon             

Thursday  9--12             

I teach so that everyone learns at their own rate of speed. I give demos and you paint what you want either from a photo or whatever your reference is. You do not compete with your neighbor but with yourself.  Better all around.

My fees are $20.00 per class or by the month  4 classes for the month 75.00  3 hour classes

My current students are grandfathered in and no price change.   I love to teach classes and show you how to paint a painting.

 Brushes  Flats and filberts  (your choice) or                                   

#2,4,6,8 and 1/2 soft blending  brush

1 script liner

  What ever brushes you are comfortable using

mixing flat palette knife

Glass palette to mix paints on NO paper plates  9"x 12"

scraper to clean palette

Paper Towels (viva or blue shop towels)

ODORLESS  Gamsol  mineral spirits (clean brushes)

Surface to paint on

11"x 14"  or 12"x 16"  Canvas or canvas panel  3

 OIL PAINTS (professional)(or the best you can afford)

 White

cadmium yellow medium

Indian Yellow or Cadmium Yellow Light

Yellow Ochre

cadmium red light

Alizarin Crimson

Ultramarine blue

Dioxazine purple

Rembrandt Viridian

Be sure to bring a positive attitude and an open mind
